Ted Jackson really loves his job, and it resonates with everything he says and does. A geologist by training, he’s done an amazing job of schooling himself in the living side of Mother Nature too. He can provide the history of the location and talk about how many wolves are currently local. All in all a fabulous experience. Since I love animal safaris, I have to say we hit the “mother lode” by seeing all the major animals in the Grand Teton area. From a fabulous bull moose to an enchanting beaver who loved preforming for an audience, we saw everything I had hoped to see. The transportation was fantastic and pristine; the food provided excellent, and the communications outstanding.

I have hired guides many times, and Obsidian Expeditions was as good as any I've had in the past, all over the world. Our guide, Stacy Noland was PERFECT in every respect. He is extremely knowledgeable about everything related to this tour. This group picks you up early and has warm breakfast sandwiches (which you select in advance on line) waiting in the van, so you can get to the best locations during that all important first hour, for the best wildlife opportunities. And his lunch was fantastic. He was able to take us places to see a grizzly bear, black bear, moose, elk, bison, pronghorn, mule deer, and two wolves including a huge black wolf that we all thought was a bear, until it lifted its head....very cool! Obsidian Expeditions is the best! These guys know so many important history and facts about these tours, and make the tours very exciting.
