Escape the ordinary, just 8 miles from the French Quarter! Relax and leave your cares behind while you explore the lake side of New Orleans on a private 2 hour sail. Hop aboard a 47' luxury Beneteau sailboat called "Roux Stir", named for our love of a heartwarming New Orleans gumbo. Maximum 6 guests please.

Once onboard, all guests receive complimentary white wine, local craft beer, and light snacks. Listen to the boat glide through the water or enjoy your favorite tunes via Spotify.

Enjoy a 2 hour invigorating sail on the Southshore of historic & expansive Lake Pontchartrain, where you may spot a brown pelican flying overhead, and see the longest bridge in the world over water, the Causeway.

Captain Doug, a local New Orleanian with a passion for sailing, will ensure your safety. All proper safety equipment, life vests, and clean restrooms onboard.

Captain Doug and First Mate Margaret were waiting for us when we arrived with beautiful smiles. They were very courteous and saw to our every need. They were also very knowledgeable about the area and area history. We were served snacks and many choices of drinks including wine and soft drinks. The trip was very enjoyable made even better by the dedication and strive for excellence by the crew. This is a trip we loved so much we plan to do it again.

This was our 2nd charter with Captain Doug and already planning our next! Highly recommended. Captain Doug is an expert in his field and runs a beautiful vessel.
