Escape from the crowded tourist areas for a private, 90-minute surf lesson for a group of 3-to-5 people near Lahaina, Maui. Choose from an early-, mid-, or late-morning time frame. This surf session will focus on water safety, proper surf technique, surfing style, and etiquette. The experienced, professional instructor guarantees students will stand up, catch a wave, and leave the beach as a certified surfer. All lessons are private so they will never combine guests from separate parties. All the necessary equipment — rash guard, state-of-the-art soft-top board, and reef shoes — included.

We did three days of surf lessons recently and had a great experience! Kain, Kody and Connor were all excellent instructors. We had one private instructor with our 9-year-old son and he was up and surfing right away. It was nice to have individual attention for him to assist getting him back out to catch more waves. My husband and I shared one instructor which was also SO helpful for getting us to try to learn how to catch waves ourselves (not so easy!). I called the office to make some adjustments for our final day of surfing and they went out of their way to accommodate us. Whenever we are in Maui, we will be looking to refresh our skills with these guys.

Eric and Jason were fantastic instructors, very personable and great to work with. Their instruction was easy to understand and extremely helpful. They had us up on our boards and surfing the waves in no time. We will definitely use Rivers to the Sea on our next trip to Maui!
