Escape from the crowded tourist areas for a private, 90-minute surf lesson for a group of 3-to-5 people near Lahaina, Maui. Choose from an early-, mid-, or late-morning time frame. This surf session will focus on water safety, proper surf technique, surfing style, and etiquette. The experienced, professional instructor guarantees students will stand up, catch a wave, and leave the beach as a certified surfer. All lessons are private so they will never combine guests from separate parties. All the necessary equipment — rash guard, state-of-the-art soft-top board, and reef shoes — included.

The surf lesson was the highlight of our trip and exactly what we were looking for. The location off mile marker 19 was a perfect choice for our skill level (beginner) and it felt like a highly personal rather than commercial experience. Eric was a really great instructor, casual and very helpful. Everyone caught a few waves, and we’ll definitely be doing it again!

It was wonderful, exciting, extremely fun, and Eric taught my family and I to never give up. The blue and bright waves were so beautiful, I loved to ride them, and when it wasn't my turn I would watch my family surf and sometimes fall in! If Eric hadn't helped us we would feel sad. He is really good at teaching to surf and just surfing in general. This was a great adventure and I want to do it again!
