Escape from the crowded tourist areas for a private, 90-minute surf lesson for a group of 3-to-5 people near Lahaina, Maui. Choose from an early-, mid-, or late-morning time frame. This surf session will focus on water safety, proper surf technique, surfing style, and etiquette. The experienced, professional instructor guarantees students will stand up, catch a wave, and leave the beach as a certified surfer. All lessons are private so they will never combine guests from separate parties. All the necessary equipment — rash guard, state-of-the-art soft-top board, and reef shoes — included.

Kiva was able to fit us in on short notice when our instructor from another company didn’t show. He was extremely knowledgeable, patient and very accommodating. All 3 first time surfers were catching waves within an hour. We had so much fun that we booked a second day so that we could try out our new skills.

Our family of 7 took a surfing lesson south of Lahaina with Kyler and another instructor. They were fun, easy going, and encouraging. We hit the waves quickly and almost everyone got up on their board. It was an amazing morning and a not-miss experience in Hawaii.

Kyler was an amazing instructor! 4 (all teenagers) of the 5 of our family had never been surfing. He was very helpful and patient. Even got our stubborn 13 yr old daughter up on waves!! They all had such a great time we rented boards and went back at it the next day...where we came across Kyler's friendly face again. Highly recommend!!! You will not regret it :)
