Escape from the crowded tourist areas for a private, 90-minute, 1-on-1 surf lesson near Lahaina, Maui. Choose from an early-, mid-, or late-morning time frame. This surf session will focus on water safety, proper surf technique, surfing style, and etiquette. The experienced, professional instructor guarantees students will stand up, catch a wave, and leave the beach as a certified surfer. All lessons are private so they will never combine guests from separate parties. All the necessary equipment — rash guard, state-of-the-art soft-top board, and reef shoes — included.

Eric was SO great! When we arrived, everything was all set up and there was only one other person on the whole beach. Eric had great tips and was super fun! Would definitely recommend to surfers of all skill levels :)

One on one 1st lesson for our 11 year old granddaughter. Instructor was there on time, was very personable, and got her into the water within 10 minutes of meeting us. She managed to get up surfing several times and enjoyed the experience.

Our 18 year old daughter wanted to try surfing. We chose the 7:30 am class to avoid the crowds of people. We arrived at the designated meeting spot to find our instructor, Kody, waiting for us. He had everything ready to go for our daughter and after meeting him and hearing of his background of surfing we knew our daughter was in good hands. Kody spent time on the beach show her proper techniques and off to the water they went. Kody was with her the whole way and had her up on the board on the first wave. They spent the next hour catching wave after wave and even when she got tired, Kody would tow her back out. We would like to thank Kody for his professionalism and highly recommend Rivers To The Sea and Kody as an instructor.
