We took the Red Rock Slot Canyon tour with our guide Brian, and it was a really fun tour!
Ultimately, it was a great experience, and Brian was fantastic. Brain was laid back, knowledgeable about the slot canyons we were guided through, and he was really a great guide. He told us stories about petroglyphs we saw in the rocks, and he explained the geological history behind the canyons we walked through. If you’re able to walk up a flight of stairs easily, then this tour is perfect for you.
It was a very easy hike, and the most we walked was about 400 yards to the first stop, and then just a few hundred feet into the second stop. Brian guided us around in a 4 wheel drive UTV that safely handled the hills and bumps that you’ll encounter while on the trails to your stops.
The experience we had at the meet up point in Orderville was an easy one, the coffee shop and staff who greet you from East Zion Adventures are personable, and the almond croissants are delicious along with the coffee from The Spot. It was easy to get to the tour meetup spot, and if you arrive early enough, parking will not be an issue. There are limited spots though! Restrooms are located in the convenience store next door, and there’s a post office with friendly employees where we sent off postcards to our family that we bought at the coffee shop.
I would highly recommend this tour as an easy way to have a private experience with a knowledgeable and friendly guide (Brian) with a great company like East Zion Adventures.
Fun fact: Brian told us his favorite home cooked meal is his smoked baby back ribs and his wife’s homemade biscuits!
Thanks!
