We're a party from Belgium on a tour through the West. The whole process from booking (very responsive to questions and queries, swift confirmation after payment) to planning (climbing gear) and the preparation proves this is a well organised set-up. Clay is an experienced guide. He assesses the skill levels of all participants and builds up the parcours accordingly. I was impressed by how he created trust and confidence with the kids by gradually increasing the difficulty. At the end, we all felt that we pushed our boundaries but never felt in danger or off limits. A very nice experience and we warmly recommend this organisation. Back home, If I ask the kids what they liked the most on our tour, this comes out as nr. 1. Thanks Clay!

Our family of three had a half day climbing session with Ground Up Climbing. This was our first time outdoor climbing experience. Clay has made this experience as easy as possible, and organized this time very efficiently so that we could make the most out of this session. Our group of three had different levels gym climbing experience, and I was worried that it will either be too easy or too hard for some of us. However, Clay has taken us to a spot where all of us could enjoy climbing equally. Clay taught us new climbing skills, noted various areas for improvement, kept us all safe on the wall, and had great approach to our kid. In general, this was a very good family time for us, we learnt a lot from Clay, and are looking to coming back to Ground Up Climbing next time we are in the area.

My 13-year-old son and 11-year-old daughter had never been outdoor climbing before. Clay was an outstanding guide who took us to the perfect spot: an absolutely beautiful location with multiple levels to challenge the kids and me! Highly recommend.
