My boyfriend and I did a half-day at Royal Gorge and it was even better than we expected!! We had Jordan as our raft guide and she was awesome. We had a great time and it was about 2 hours long (depends on the speed of the water). We have been rafting before so the "higher" rapid rating was great for us, if this is your first time rafting I don't recommend doing the Gorge, but Lost Paddle was an awesome place to do raft with! I will always go back!

We had a blast on our half day Royal Gorge trip. There are plenty of rapids and the scenery is gorgeous. Kotty was our guide, and he had Jordan and John along with him for training. We were super impressed with how well he knew the river as he explained to the others where to go, where to stay away from, etc. We felt totally confident in his abilities to navigate us through safely. My husband hadn't been rafting before, but if you're in reasonable physical shape and can follow directions, you should be fine. On one of the first rapids, my husband hadn't quite figured out how to lock his feet in and he went bouncing out for a swim, but Jordan reacted instantly and she had his big 6'4" frame back in the boat before we were even through the rapids. He didn't even lose his sunglasses! All in all, a well trained crew who were also a ton of fun!

We had a great Royal Gorge trip with Lost Paddle. The trip was exciting, thrilling and action packed. Yet our guide was in control of the boat at all times, safety was paramount! Ask for Joe or Maddy, they are the best! We will definitely use Lost Paddle again. Lost Paddle is one of the smaller outfits on the Arkansas which we love because it feels like family.
