As the title of the tour indicates, we were expecting 2 hours of paddling through the mangroves. What we received was a very slow, short paddle into the bay while the guide standing in his kayak gave us a 25 minute spiel on the Ringley family. Almost an hour in, we finally entered the first mangrove. When we exited into a small bay , we sat in ourkayak for 25 minutes listening to a lecture on the mangroves. We then paddled thru the 2nd mangroveand headed back to the launch site. Overall, too much talking and too little paddling. The guide said we paddled 2.5 miles. However most of it was floating vs consistent paddling. Make it a 75 minute tour and keep the talking g to 20 minutes. Rent a kayak and do it yourself and you will enjoy it more.

Sorry you didn’t enjoy your experience. On a Guided Tour we take people out on the open water looking for wildlife and explaining the area followed by a paddle through the mangrove tunnels and explaining how they were made. The tour is about 2 hours long. Obviously this was not for you and you should have chosen the option to rent a kayak with a map we go over with you.

great experience! kayak seats have backs to them and guide gave great tips for how to use paddle and proper positioning. Guide was engaging, funny, and informative. You are not paddling the whole way, there are resting periods where you are just floating and listening so beginners are not to worry. Very peaceful experience going thru mangroves! Family outing -myself (57), hubby (59) and daughter (26), average fitness level.

What a fun and adventurous experience! We drifted on safe, stable kayaks through narrow canals under tree tunnels. It is a unique and peaceful experience. So many beautiful birds! Our exceptional guide Patrick entertained us with interesting information about the mangrove tunnels. We had a terrific time! The Idaho gang
