Shannon Scott, our tour guide, turned a cool, gloomy, misty morning into an exciting adventure filled with fascinating stories and historical information. His enthusiasm was palpable as he shared the history and people of old Savannah. Our walk among the tombstones and mausoleums brought the dead back to life, A wonderful experience.

It is best to call ahead and find out what time the tours are. We just drove there and asked in the office. The office staff was not helpful. They are not involved with the tours so you have to make your own arrangements. Our tour guide was Shannon. He has a loud booming voice so it is very easy to hear and understand him. It was a 2 hour tour but Shannon had so many stories to share, we ran at least 20 minutes over. He is a history buff. Bring bug spray. Wear good walking shoes.

Shannon shared so much history and more, nonstop for over 2 hours! He was knowledgeable and entertaining. Free parking too!
