We had a delightful guide, and we enjoyed our visit. We learned, however, that the guides are not allowed to take groups into the museums on each island to provide a tour, which I felt took away from the experience. Too bad - I know our guide would have made our museum experience MUCH better if she could have come in.

Everything about this tour was well done. Starting with the email reminders days before the tour, and even a reminder email with explicit instructions from Melissa on the particular, last minute details. Tim was an awesome guide — he is both very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about these tour stops. I also appreciated how he was very careful to keep the group together when boarding/unboarding the ferry. Not only did he enlighten us all with the subject matter at hand, he was an awesome resource in letting us know about other things to do in NYC. Probably his best advice was where to get the best pizza in NY — Joe’s Pizza on Carmine Street. I agree — it was awesome! It’s NY style pizza (unlike the Chicago style I’m used to back in the Midwest) — huge slices on thin crust. Delicious!! Thanks for the tip, Tim.
