We found it a little confusing at first – as the program didn't seem to run on my wife's phone ("oh no, did we purchase a dud?"), but I got it to work on mine. Once we figure it out, got it going, and connected to our car, it was WONDERFUL. We just started it up – and drove through and whenever we arrived at an area, the narrative played out. It almost felt like we were in a theme park. It saved having one of us constantly trying to figure out what we should be looking for and then detailing it to us. It made the drive-through experience coherent (one person explaining things from start to finish) and enjoyable (less worried that we might miss things). We would recommend!

We've done audio tours before (Shaka Guide) and got WAY more interesting information than this Viator Action Tour Guide. This one was barely adequate and was extremely lacking in information. There were a couple of interesting stories (the Paiutes driven from their homeland, Zumwalt's Meadow named after a guy who pushed for the Natl Park in order to prevent other loggers from competing with his business). But other points of interest did little more than state the name of the place and that it's worth seeing. Long driving spaces between POIs could have been used to describe detailed facts about Sequoias (other than that they're big) and maybe name some of the other common forest trees. Several huge fire ravished areas that have been there for many years weren't even mentioned. Intersecting roads weren't mentioned, like Hume Lake, perhaps b/c it's outside the park? But it's nearby and should have been mentioned. Buck Rock fire lookout wasn't mentioned. Nor was Moro Rock described. Crystal Cave too. Petroglyphs at Potwisha weren't mentioned. Facts and points of interest that are easily available in free brochures, pamphlets and area papers weren't included. Lazy. Lots of silence. Also, the app access was so slow we thought it wasn't working, but eventually it did. Had to call tech support at first. The narrator's voice was pleasant (in fact better than Shaka that's geared to kids) but he just wasn't given a script with much substance.

Karen, I'm sorry the tour didn't fully meet your expectations. My tour covers all the major attractions along with the park's geology, flora and fauna, and history. The product is valid for a year, so there's no need to worry if your travel plans change. Please let me know if you have any other questions or suggestions for improvement.

Great app and tour. I found the tour very informative. I grew up near and traveled here many times and I still learned stuff from the audioguide. Directions were easy to follow. If you park, be sure to carry the guide with you. There are some spots that you’ll learn about outside your vehicle
