Had a wonderful fun ride on Sunday, March 20, 2016 with Arizona Balloon Safaris. This ride was on my bucket list and I wasn't disappointed. This crew is very safety conscious and also made effort to ensure we had a great time. The captain and crew encourage the passengers to go inside the balloon and boy is it huge. After takeoff he pointed out certain areas as we floated in air. For me it was just an awesome feeling as I looked at the different sights from above ground. We were in the air about an hour. Once we landed, we had a continential champagne breakfast. The captain read a poem and we kinda kiss the ground for our safe landing. Some toasted to a mixture of orange juice and champagne; others opted to one or the other. No matter the choices, we all enjoyed our choice of beverage. We even got our very own certificate. This is a "must repeat" for me. Thanks for the memory.

Had a amazing morning gliding across the beautiful Arizona sky today in this gigantic hot air balloon. It is the largest and only one of its size in the USA. The " basket" held about 20 of us today. Not at all what I thought in that it was not frightening at all, it was very quiet and peaceful floating in the sky. The staff is warm and welcoming, hard working and entertaining. Cute ceremony afterward and Champagne breakfast. I highly recommend the experience and I highly recommend Arizona Balloon Safaris. Thanks for a memory that will last a lifetime. 👍🎈

Your day begins with a drive to find a launch location. Our driver was full of great information about ballooning, the equipment, The process and the pilot. We stopped a couple times to check the wind direction and strength. Found a good location to launch and set up the balloon. This takes a little time and is interesting. Participants are allowed to help if they want. Balloon is up and everyone gets into the basket in pairs. Lift-off is exciting with the burners bellowing overhead warming the air within. you look down and you are ALOFT!! Our flight went to 5000+ feet and the view was breathtaking. We traveled across Phoenix west to east, but sometimes they fly east to west. Each landing is different because the wind controls the direction and speed of the balloon. The pilot told us had to brace for landing and all went fine. we bounced a few times and stopped in a field. This is a very professional operation with safety as a priority. After the flight we had a light champagne toast and continental breakfast. Worth every penny to check this off of my bucket list.
