Our Grave Tales Ghost Tour started a Johnson Square in Savannah with Sarah our “ghost teller and guide.” This is a walking ghost tour where Sarah takes the group to different sights in the city, known to be haunted or to have consistently have people feel, sense or see a ghost. Our stops included various squares where there are TALES of ghosts or spirits including the Colonial Park Cemetery, the Marshall House, and more. Sarah has some intriguing tales of ghost sightings from stories she has heard, as well as, people on the tours sharing their experiences. We learned the different Poltergeist, orbs, and others. Additionally, as we walked to each sight Sarah shared a lot of history of Savannah. Due to its swampy ground, much of Savannah is built on former burial grounds. Due to this it fits that Savannah is one of America’s most haunted cities. For our tour – it was my husband and myself the grandparents and our grandchildren ages 12 & 14. While my husband and I thought the tour could be more interesting, the kids thought it was very good. Since we have been on the Jack the Ripper Tour in London that was very scary and intriguing we expected more. Sarah does good job with the program for this tour. Our one suggestion is to “slow down” she talked fast (as the younger generation does today) making it hard to be sure you heard and understood all that was said, especially with other outside noises.
