See early drawings, cartoons, and films created by Walt, and hear about his disappointments and triumphs at listening stations narrated in his own voice. Marvel at the staggering collection of awards Walt won, and don't miss the model of the Disneyland as he initially imagined it. Upgrade to also gain access to the Diane Disney Miller Exhibition Hall. Tour this inspiring museum at your own pace, staying as long as you wish during opening hours. Before you leave, make sure to take some gorgeous photos of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco Bay through the museum's wall of glass and from the grounds.

Being huge fans of Disneyland, we wanted to visit the Walt Disney Family Museum. It was great to read about and see photographs of Walt's childhood, his beginnings as an animator, his family and all the wonderful movies produced while he lived. A gift shop has a variety of souvenirs of many things Disney (but only those movies that were around while Walt was alive). The Museum is located in the Presidio and a huge lawn area is across from it, where people have picnics, children can run and play.

I visited the museum and the World War II special exhibit and found both to be fascinating. The museum provides lots of history on Disney's family and personal history. Really inspiring what he did and the funs and memories he helped create. Didn't fully appreciate what Disney did to support the US in WWII from an educational and morale standpoint until viewing the exhibit. I especially enjoyed the videos available throughout the museum, plus the full model of Disneyland!.

It had been a number of years since I last visited the museum and I’m glad I went again. Was a great experience and the special World War II exhibit was quite fascinating. Also appreciated how conscientious they were of both visitor and employee safety. The team there was also quite professional when dealing with an unfortunate man who decided to be rude and abusive to the staff When he opted to not follow their safety protocols. I look forward to future visits and their upcoming special exhibits.
