Every gallery was a gem. He was an extraordinary man, a genius like Leonardo Of course he was seriously flawed…anti union, antisemetic, afraid of communism But nevertheless brilliant He has brought so much happiness & joy to generations.

High quality museum dedicated to Walt Disney but also covering key members of his family, like Roy. Placed in order of his lifetime, you can learn about the Disney family’s emigration from Europe to his passing. Tons of exhibits, interactive items, and several short films bring you front and center. Download the museum’s app and take the audio tour for free, bring your own earbuds. The audio extras in each exhibit are also available on the app. Staff is friendly, there’s a small cafe and expansive gift shop. Several transit lines service the Presidio area and it’s a pleasant walk to other attractions at the Presidio. Book your tickets online as museum entry is timed, and check out the special exhibits if one is available. I’m a huge Disney fan and spent four hours in the main museum and the special Jungle Book exhibit.

Well laid out museum with exhibits that keep you interested. It chronicles the life and business ventures of Walt Disney more so than the theme parks themselves so know before you go. I learned so much about the innovation he is responsible for. After a while, I was burnt out on information overload but that’s me - nothing the museum could help!
