Chicago’s most entertaining magic show! Fun, intimate, sometimes outrageous, and always hilarious.

Theater is located at 3453 N Halsted Street (near the SE corner of Cornelia Ave). Door opens 15 minutes before showtime and seating is general admission.

Venue is BYOB for guests 21+. Cups and bottle openers are available if needed. We do not stock ice but there is a 7-Eleven just down the street (3407 N Halsted). Performance runs approximately 1 hour.

Located smack in the middle of the Boystown neighborhood of Chicago, Trickery Chicago was an awesome off-the-beaten-path find! This show is NOT for kids! We went with another couple, we were easily the oldest in attendance. The crowd was predominantly 20-somethings, maybe early 30's, which was fine. It made the atmosphere fun! The venue itself is easily missed, just one door located amongst larger establishments. But once inside the ambiance and decor create a mystical, magical feel. Take lots of selfies and photos inside! There are maybe 25-30 seats total in the small theater, so if you're thinking of going on a weekend, make a commitment! Our magician was entertaining and cheeky, lots of "inside jokes". While the magic isn't David Copperfield level, it's also much better than expected and the close proximity to the stage (there are no bad seats) makes it even better. The experience is very audience interactive, which made it great! Unknown to us, you can bring your own alcohol in. The aforementioned 20-somethings must have been in the know, as there were cases of White Claw, Beer and a gallon of Vokda being passed around. Apparently this is encouraged, which is 180 degrees opposite of what you'll mostly find for magic or comedy shows in Chicago, a number of which have a 2 drink minimum. PRO TIP: Eat at Wood restaurant just a couple of blocks south, then walk to the show.

I first watched the show in 2018 and came back in 2021 to watch it again, and Aaron still put on an awesome show with some new material in addition to all the great original material. In Trickery's small venue, you can see all the tricks/miracles up close, which makes them that much more impressive and amazing. Aaron gave a wonderful performance with lots of personality. Very entertaining and highly recommended!
