We went on one of the first tours post Covid! This was our plan B when our first choice was fully booked but the history of this distillery was super cool! We got to see where they fermented, distilled, and bottled their whiskey. We got to try 4 different whiskeys as well. TOTALLY worth the $12 for the tour

I was asked by our Uber Driver if I toured any of the local breweries. I had to tell him that I was only interested in the Distillery Tours for two reasons. I prefer Bourbon over Beer and I enjoy the History of the older Distilleries. Many of the brewery tours start with, "I used to brew beer in my garage and now we are here". Not a whole lot of History. The Nelson's do not have that problem. Great History and a Great Tasting. Our Guide did an outstanding job explaining both the Family History and walking us through some really good taste samples. I walked away with a Bourbon and a Liqueur. My wife used the Liqueur when making a Bred Pudding. Everyone loved it.

This is just down the street from Antique Archeology (American Pickers). You can do a 45 min tasting or do a self tour(what we did). Great tasting product with very comfortable furniture. Friendly staff. Worth a stop for sure.
