Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Guests will then meet their personal guide and recieve the necessary equipment Including: life jacket, helmet and paddle.
After your guide double-checks to make sure all equipment is fitted properly, guests then hop on our bus for a short 10-minute ride to the launching point for your trip.

White water rafting on the Pigeon River was amazing!! I highly recommend!! If you can request a raft guide ask for Stoney he was hilarious and absolutely made rafting a blast.

We had an excellent time on the upper Pigeon River with our guide, Joey! He was awesome and made it so much fun! We highly recommend using Big Creek Expeditions. They were very professional. This type of trip is Great for first timers. It is not too rough and our nine-year-old son loved every minute of it! Our older boys (age20) are ready for something a little more challenging however.

Our family (parents, grandparents, and children ages 12 and 9) rafted the Pigeon Forge River together with Daniel as our Guide. Weather was not optimal as we had thunderstorms when it was time to launch. Big Creek did a great job waiting until it was safe, and then got us moving. Rafting in the rain was more fun than we anticipated. Rapids were not very difficult, so great for families of all ages. Daniel did a great job as our guide - very friendly and knowledgeable.
