To be honest, I was apprehensive about going white water rafting, but my daughter wanted us to go as a family to celebrate her high school graduation, so I reluctantly agreed. One of the reasons I was concerned was that our youngest son has cerebral palsy and I was afraid that it wouldn’t be a good experience for him. All that being said, I’m so glad we decided to go and even more glad that we chose Big Creek Expeditions! Our guide was Janet and she was awesome! She even fixed up a handle for our youngest son to hold while rafting. She was obviously an experienced raft guide and the whole family agrees that we could raft with Janet all day every day! If you’re thinking of white water rafting in the Smokies and you’re a little apprehensive like I was, go for it! Take the whole family! You won’t be sorry!
