This is an excellent factory outlet. Great discounts on a lot of products. It does take 1 hour to get there so make sure you have a full day available.
The woodbury outlets themselves are great and like others here, i would recommend taking an empty roller case with you to fill during your shopping tour as there is so much to see and buy.
As for the Viator service this booking company we found it absolutely atrocious.
Firstly, they charge slightly more than others you can find online Approximately USD18 per person more expensive than their next rival
Secondly, the confirmation email requires you to have a Paper Voucher. This is because they are a third party reseller and Grey line who actually provide the busses, won't accept a screenshot, barcode, QT code or any other method. As a traveler, access to a printer is not always easy but i managed to find a shop who allowed me access to their wifi to forward the email to them and they printed for me.
The other issue i had is with the details on pick up location. The website simply refers you to the Port Authority building on 8th Ave in NYC. This is a huge building with many terminals... in order to find the exact terminal, you need to read the confirmation email which reads as follows
Directions
Tour departs from 8th Avenue, New York
Port Authority Bus Terminal
625 8th Avenue
New York, NY 10018
Gate 310
Only problem with this is, Gate 310 is not the correct Gate. Upon arrival to the gate, there is no sign to inform you this is not the right gate either. We waited for 30 minutes for a bus to arrive here and when it did, we hopped on only to realise this bus service was going to another state altogether. Perplexed, we went in search of a service counter who pointed us to another service counter that was called the short line. Again, wrong information... we queued for 20 minutes only to be told they are not Grey Line and Grey line is located in another building.
Long story short is, a simpler booking method, paperless transactions and clear instructions would have saved us 2 hours of running around pointlessly.
Was a simple way to get to and from Woodbury Common, with a choice of many departure and return times.
