What To Expect

Hoover Dam

The Postcard Tour allows visitors who don't have all day to spend on the river, an opportunity to view the Hoover Dam, the bypass bridge and journey just far enough down river to feel the canyon's surreal setting for 1.5 hours on the River. Bring your swim wear to take a dip in the mighty Colorado River on your snack break stop along the way!

Recently four of us participated in the raft tour from Hoover Dam down the Colorado River to Willow Beach. The view of Hoover Dam and the bypass bridge from our boarding spot on the river was spectacular and not to be missed! We had an excellent guide for the trip down the river and we enjoyed a peaceful three hour plus ride through some beautiful scenery! We saw a variety of wildlife and were especially lucky to come across an American bald eagle sunning himself on the rocks. He posed long enough for everyone to take some memorable photos! We definitely enjoyed ourselves and felt that our money and time were well spent!

I was in Vegas alone for business and really needed to get away from the cigarette smoke, noise, and crowds of the strip. I booked the 3 hour rafting tour with pick-up and drop-off at my hotel. It also included a box lunch on the river, which was good. I booked it at the last minute and from start to finish everyone was friendly and did a great job. The driver was prompt and friendly. I loved being on the river with our guide, Steve. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and fun. I can't say enough good about this business. I highly recommend it.

This was a terrific way to spend the day. Our guide, Brian, made it a relaxed and enjoyable day. The tour starts at the Hoover Dam and ends some miles down river. No complaints at all. Except--they contract with a 3d party for transportation from Vegas. This was kind of a mess, more so for us because we stayed off strip. I called ahead to confirm they picked up at our hotel, but it was clear that they don't do so often. Consequently, we spent 2.5 hours on a variety of busses and shuttles. Consider driving yourself to the Hacienda Casino, where the real tour starts.
