We want to thank our guide, John ! He was the best. We arrived an hour late because we were told by our hotel in Arazona that both Utah and Arazona were on the same zone. We found out that Utah in July is actually an hour ahead. But John waited for us and took everything in stride saying it often happens. John ws awesome ! We did the 1.5 hour tour because we had other places we had to travel to other wise we would have loved to have spent more time with John on a longer tour. John was very informative, explaining the history of the land and sandstone formations. He was very patient and never rushed us as we took alot of photos. If you take this tour with this great tour company, ask for JOHN ! He also shared stories and educated us on his native heritage. We will return one day and will ask for John again.John we hope you get to Alaska where we live, so you can enjoy our state's sights as well ! Be safe and live well !

We were met promptly by Harry Nez Jr. at The View Hotel, He proceeded to create a wonderful experience as we saw nature at its best. He shared stories of his life spending time in this area. One highlight of our tour was when he introduced us to his friend who is a medicine man. We went inside a large cavern with a hole in the ceiling and the medicine man began to sing....followed by Harry playing beautiful music on his flute. It was a memorable day. And a place everyone should experience in their lifetime.

Yeah, you can drive the loop on your own, provided you have a high clearance vehicle and don’t mind getting it a little roughed up. But most likely you wouldn’t know all the turns to take and stops to make. Our guide, Joseph was awesome! Not only did he show us the most scenic parts of the valley, he provided history and commentary to put it all in context. We would have missed out on that part of it otherwise, and that was what made this tour so worth it. Joseph has a wonderful sense of humor and kept things fun while still incredibly enlightening. So glad we saw Monument Valley this way. Highly recommend.
