Overview

Hawaii looks even better from horseback, so hop on and join us for an adventure you’ll always remember. Led by a friendly guide, you’ll travel through pastures and mountain trails, seeing the gorgeous sights of Oahu’s North Shore along the way, with its clear, blue water, offshore islands, and white sandy beaches. You also get a sneak peek into the Hidden Cave, featured on “Hawaii 5-0”.

You’ll ride to the top of our lookout point and feel proud of yourself for getting there like a real paniolo (Hawaiian cowboy). We look forward to you being a part of our Ohana for a day here at Gunstock Ranch.

CHECK-IN TIME: Check in is 45 minutes prior the start time of tour. A safety demo is given 15 minutes prior to the tour, if you miss the safety demo will have missed your tour
A minimum of 2 people per booking is required
Minimum age is 7 years
All passenger weights MUST be advised at time of booking. 240lb/109kg weight limit.
Long pants and covered shoes are recommended; bring a light jacket if the weather is cold
We ride rain or shine. If canceled due to unsafe weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund
Phones or small cameras are allowed.
No pregnant or intoxicated riders are allowed to ride.

My wife and I spend my birthday riding horses, and this year we picked Gunstock Ranch because of the great time we had two years ago. Again, it was a fantastic experience. The staff picked out horses that fit our needs to a T. Friendly and courteous, Drew-our guide- knew just how to put my wife at ease and make the tour a memory of a lifetime. He paused and took photos every time my wife requested it-which was often! We got a history lesson and a great trail ride all in one. We will definitely be coming back.

Had a great horse, guides were great. McKenzie was fun and very knowlgeable about the ranch. Nice open pastures- very pretty ride!

My boyfriend and I went for a trail ride. We usually do not do tourist activities, but we figured we should take advantage of slower times. Our guide Jessie was great - very friendly and knowledgeable. Our horses, Big Ben and ‘Ono, were great. Very gentle and well trained. The ride was beautiful. It was fun to see the cattle and fresh fruit trees along the way and get the iconic picture at the top of the ridge. We felt very welcomed, they even let us feed our horses some carrots (that we brought) at the end. It was wonderful to support a local family/operation. The drive to the ranch is easy, but be on a look out for the sign - it is small. The road to the parking area is bumpy and gravel, so make sure your car can make it. The saddle pack is big enough for a water bottle and phone/camera for pictures. I also brought sunglasses, but I think I would have been more comfortable in a hat. The ranch is close to the shrimp trucks for lunch afterwards - a perfect touristy day! We have already booked another ride and can’t wait to go back!!
