I last saw 1776 around 50 years ago; so I was looking forward to an updated version. The lead who played Adams was just in the show for a week and she was wonderful. The lead of Ben Franklin was superb. However, the staging of the show is odd and the screen images of present day events while of historical interest do nothing for the show. I got the show on discount through TDF. I would not recommend paying full price. It is not worth it.
