Overview

Get ready for an adventure in the Alaskan wilderness with an ATV tour from Denali. On an automatic single or double ATV, you'll ride along trails surrounded by Denali National Park at speeds up to 30 mph (48 kph), and make stops to enjoy 360-degree views of the Alaska Range, Otto Lake, and the Healy Valley. Traverse rocky creek beds and splash through the water (weather permitting) as a guide leads you through the rugged terrain and provides opportunities for photography. Wildlife is abundant, so watch for moose on the trail. When booking, select from several departure times and decide whether you want a single or 2-passenger side-by-side ATV.

When I booked this, I thought we would be riding on flat trails. Boy was I wrong. We rode across varying terrain and had an absolute blast. My wife and two daughters had never ridden ATVs before. They give everybody a quick test at the beginning and then tips, so don't worry, they prepare you. JDOT, Rachel, and Clay were great. They were friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. Simply put, they were outstanding guides. Whether you are a seasoned ATV rider, or never ridden before, don't miss out on this experience. I promise you will not be disappointed.

As part of our Denali visit we decided to shake things up with an 8:30 morning romp through the hills, forests and rivers just outside Denali Park. “Texas Bob” picked us up at the hotel and entertained us with area facts and stories as we made our way to the trailhead. Once there we met our guides Jayne and Rachel. Briefed and given helmets, we were off on a great adventure on Kawasaki ATV mules. Some rode single, some side-by-side through bumps, mud, hills, streams and the wonders of nature. We reached speeds of over 30 miles an hour. At the two lookout areas we stopped for photos and conversations with Jayne and Rachel. We rode for 90 minutes...said our goodbyes and then got back on the bus with “Texas Bob” for a few parting stories and a return trip to the hotel. It was a fantastic morning! Next time I’ll opt for the 3.5 version. Going to Denali? Do this adventure. You’ll have a blast...and you’ll enjoy Jayne, Rachel and Bob.

We booked two ATV's had four people per. Overall the family had a great time. Good for young and old together. Had several in our group riding a four wheeler by theirselves and if you feel comfortable doing so, should do it. We had teens and older folks with our group so the ATV was excellent for us.
