This was my first time rafting and I loved it. I went on the 2 hour rafting tour, with Kyle as the guide. Kyle was super friendly and knowledgeable; spouting historical facts about the river and Durango throughout the ride. Animas River is beautiful. The entire staff was great and their energy was infectious. Even the bus driver was fun. I sat at the front of the raft, and consequently got nailed in the face with a few good splashes, but that made it even more fun for me. I highly recommend Rivertrippers.

A few years ago, after many years enjoying rafting the Animas on our own, we had to sell our raft due to injury circumstances. We wanted to keep enjoying the river; especially at "sporty" CFS. This was our first year choosing Durango Rivertrippers. Due to COVID and that we are older, hubby and I wanted to be on our own with the guide. Rivertrippers willingly accommodated our request for 2 person private boat. (We admit after a terrible situation for outdoor companies, it was a bit of a request for them financially). All parties made it happen for my birthday; the river CFS was exciting that day. Our guide, Bruce was not only professional and a skillful oarsman/instructor, but a seasoned outdoors man. A guide like that allows you to have confident fun while grabbing some adrenaline. Bruce, thank you!

Such a fun experience! Our guide was Kyle. He had great instruction and made sure we hit all of the exciting spots on the river. We will definitely be back for that adrenaline fix in the future!
