Really enjoyed our relaxing 3-hour cruise on a hot August Friday night. Easy to find the boat on the pier, and we just walked aboard and parked ourselves in the highest front & center bench seats of the brand-new cruising boat. We were soon enjoying the sea breezes, the great classic '80s dance soundtrack (when's the last time I heard The Safety Dance by Men Without Hats??), and then the beautiful setting sun over the ocean. On our way back, we were all oohing and ahhing over the green and blue Sunshine Skyway Bridge lights we motored under it, and then watched a full moon rise over to our right as we neared the lights of St. Petersburg.
The crew, from the captain on down, was very nice and friendly, bringing us ice-cold bottled water (many people brought their own libations and food) and taking photos of passengers at sunset. A passenger was celebrating her birthday and offered us a piece of chocolate cake (which we declined since we still had to eat dinner)!
We got back to the Pier at 10 pm and luckily found a restaurant nearby that was still serving (wood-fired pizza at BellaBrava). A very nice, photo-worthy evening on the water!
