What a fantastic experience. Our guide, Louie, was so nice and informative. He showed us all the highlights and we were able to go with him into the Backcountry areas of Monument Valley. On our tour we stopped to meet an a Navajo woman who shared with us how blankets are made and a few stories about her life and her day. Overall, this was better than expected.

This trip is a little out of the way but my memories of all the western shows and movies I saw growing up that were filmed partly in this area drew me here. It was a trip well worth taking. The tour is private, so it is just your party along with your guide on the tour in a comfortable jeep. You wander between the many buttes and mesas in the valley. The high-lite for us was stopping at a small Native American ranch and spending time with a lady that was a master at creating woolen tapestries and ornaments. She spent time with us talking about their life style and explaining the mud hut structure she lived in. It was very interesting to hear and see. The buttes, mesas and arches are all around you on this trip. Our guide lived in this area his whole life and was very informative and friendly. We recommend this tour highly.

By far my favorite thing we did while traveling from Durango CO to Las Vegas NV. The scenery was incredible, the driver/guide was friendly, knowledgeable and fun. Well worth the money. I recommend it anyone traveling in this area.
