Our tour guide, Steven, lived up to his reputation. He was well informed about human and natural history of Monument Valley. At several stops he played his own compositions on his flute. Steven shared topics of interest regarding contemporary Navajo culture. Rumor has it that his twin brother, Derrick, may be as good a guide, but no confirmation at time of review.

Steven was our guide. He is a very knowledgeable and pleasant young man and provided a lot of interesting information on the Navajo people, customs and beliefs. We really enjoyed the fact that it was just the 2 of us on the tour rather than a larger group. It was more of a dialogue than an typical guided tour. Will definitely use Dineh Bekeyah when we return.

My wife and I were guided by Steven of Dineh Bekeyah Tours in late April. We have been to Monument Valley before but Steven's stories of his family and his people - enhanced by his wonderful flute playing at Big Hogan - made the experience deeper and more meaningful than ever before. We learned stories of the Mitten Buttes and how the Dineh word for them relates to their concept of Family, so much richer than superficial "mittens." The tour was a mutual celebration of iconic landscape and a running conversation about people, family, religion, and the discovery of new intersections between two cultures, Steven's and ours, who revere this spectacular portion of our world. Highly recommended - thank you again Steven!
