AWESOME EXPERIENCE!
Helpful things to know:
- yes, there are toilets right at the landing as well as outdoor shower :) you're welcome
- we went as a family of 4, 2 x adult and 2 kids (10, 13) - you can go as 1 or 2 per kayak (we did 2 x 2)
- I found it easier for just me to row with my 10 yo son
- you can leave valuables, shoes in locked trailer at landing AND each kayak is also provided a drybag (keeps water out - good for camera/phone while not using)
- while it's pretty flat, you will oar water into bottom of kayak (stuff on floor will get wet - note modern car keys will die if wet - I left mine in trailer)
- clear kayak to see crystal clear water (it's real, photos are accurate - sometimes gets hazy after a storm)
- you row against current to begin and lazy river it back e.g. chill, if you want
- up-current is a workout!
- we did 8am in Jan, stunning with a morning mist that burned off, we wore hoodies, swim gear and left flip flops in the trailer (see photos)
- at stops, you can get out and stand or swim
- took ~2h
We loved it and ASHLEY our guide was wonderful. Educated, knowledgable, safe, kind and lovely to chat with.
PS. We took Ashley's recommendation and also visited the gorgeous Kelly Park - Rock Spring "springhead" (0.5miles up the road $3-$5 depending on # passengers), which was stunning and you can swim (chilly) or rent a tube.
Nice.

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your 5 star review with us!! Since our kayaks are tandem, we pair familiar parties together! With any minors under 18, we have to have an adult accompany each minor in the kayak! We're so glad you and your family had such a good time exploring with us at Rock Springs. It truly is a slice of paradise. We hope to see you all again in the near future!
