Enjoy a unique kayaking experience on this Small-Group Guided Glass Bottom Kayak Eco Tour of Rock Springs in Florida. Begin your tour with a quick tutorial on basic paddle instructions and information about the tour ahead. Your kayak tour will last approximately 2 to 2.5-hours depending on the speed of our group and any wildlife we may see along the way. There will be plenty of opportunities to stop and take pictures at several of the picturesque stopping points along the way (there will even be a couple chances for you to get out and enjoy the refreshing Spring water!) The first half of the paddle will be upstream towards the headspring of Rock Springs and the second half will be a gentle coast back to our launch point. Be ready to learn unique facts about the area and spot the local nature and wildlife along the way. Animals you may see: turtles, birds, fish, otters, deer, alligators, and more!

Weight Restriction: 425 pounds per boat (two guests) and no more than 250 pounds per seat (individual)
For every minor participating, there needs to be an adult to accompany them within the kayak. Children must be at least 3yrs old to participate.
Each of our kayaks are tandem (made for 2 paddlers). However, the seats are removable and if you have an odd number of paddlers in your party we are able to accommodate the kayak as a single. Keep in mind, the same 250 pound PER person weight limit still applies even if taking a kayak as a single.

We agree to practice social distancing. Please keep a safe distance of at least 6 feet from guests in another party. We commit to not pair you with a guest from another party and to perform enhanced cleaning measures in between tours.

What To Expect

Rock Springs Run

We will start the tour at King's Landing and paddle into a unique part of Rock Springs Run known as "Emerald Cut". This portion of the waterway is a beautiful greenish/blue tint with tree canopies overhead. There's a hidden jump platform that we allow guests to take a leap from if they choose.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

The whole tour was just okay- pretty cool and the spring is gorgeous but not really as amazing as they make it seem on the Instagram page. We saw a couple manatees from far but none really up close and personal as I thought. The clear kayaks are an absolute gimmick- you cannot see anything through them. They’re foggy, scratched up, and half the time the water is so murky you can’t see anything anyway. Definitely not worth the money as we only stopped twice on this tour. Next time I will definitely rent a smaller kayak and go out on my own. The tour guide josh was nice, the whole tour was a little quick because we started late, but overall it was just okay.

I believe this review was left for the wrong location as our Rock Springs location doesn't offer manatee tours or have a tour guide named Josh. I believe this was meant for Crystal River - would you consider removing this review from this locations TripAdvisor page and getting in touch with Crystal River team? Thank you.

The tour guide Penny was excellent. Get up and Go customer service was not. They could have been more accommodating with my child's illness. I offered to reschedule for any spot they would give me over the next couple of days. I gave them so many opportunities to work with me. They would only listen to me if I presented a doctor's note, but as I was out of state, the appointment would've cost me as much as the experience. Although our on water experience was enjoyable, I would not tour with them again or recommend them. Especially in Covid times, companies need to have more of a heart.

Thanks for your feedback here, I am glad to hear you guys had a great time on the water with Penny. I would like to address your other feedback for future guests to understand the situation. You texted us multiple times at 1am (only 10 hours before your tour) saying that your son had food poisoning and asked if you could reschedule to a different day. Our policies that you agreed to upon making your reservation state that we require a 48 hour notice prior to your tour time in order to make any changes to your reservation. We understand that things happen and we are always compassionate towards guests because of this. We asked that you provide some sort of doctors note or documentation in order to get a full refund. Rescheduling to a different day was not an option here as we were booked out the following 3 days and those were the only days you could reschedule since you were from out of town. During COVID we have been super accommodating to all guests that have health emergencies and beyond. All we ask is for simple documentation, which is a standard procedure, and we'd gladly refund you. It's disappointing that you have to leave us a 3 star review after agreeing to our policies during your booking and us trying to work with you in our 6 phone calls and many text messages.
