A friend and I traveled to Asheville for a girls weekend getaway. We booked the Moving Sidewalk Tour with Wes for 9 a.m. Saturday morning. We LOVED it! The Segways are easy to use, Wes provides great instructions and is very patient. You won't head out on your tour until you are completely comfortable riding the Segway. This was our first time ever on a Segway. In no time at all we felt ready to roll. Wes takes you through beautiful historic neighborhoods and all over downtown. You can stop whenever you want and take pictures. All along the way, Wes fills you in on the history and interesting points of the area. We even stopped at a great bakery and took a 20 min break to grab a pastry and mocha/coffee, etc. Be sure to ask him for dining recommendations. Our only regret is that we didn't take this tour our first morning in town. We struggled on our first night in town to decide where to eat since we weren't familiar with the area. After the tour, we could easily navigate our way around town and had a wonderful time shopping and dining after the tour as we felt like we knew where we were going. Don't hesitate! Book it for your trip!

I have lived in Asheville going on 4 years and have taken a Segway tour every time a visitor, friend or family member have come to town. This is by far the best way to learn about Downtown Asheville, get some great historical information about the town and region and have a few laughs with Wes who is a top notch tour guide. I will be touring a couple more times this year when family comes to town and I am now just in love with riding the segways...they are so easy. Also, do not underestimate touring during the holiday season. I did all my holiday shopping in Downtown Asheville on a Segway and had a blast without having to look or pay for parking.

My wife and I have never been on a Segway before. But due to Wes's patience and expert guidance we were all on our way in no time. For 2 and 1/2 hours we toured all over downtown Asheville. Wes pointed out many new and old sights and provided a lot of historical information. And what a fun way to do it all. These Segways really are as easy to drive as they say. DO NOT pass on this experience. We really did have the best time!!
