On the Local Tour you will experience driving your very own snowmobile in the beautiful Goldstream Valley and learn what it’s like to live as an Alaskan: dry cabins, winter travel, northern sports, and wildlife. The Goldstream Valley is home to moose, lynx, fox, snowshoe hare, ptarmigan, and grouse, to name a few! Wildlife sightings are common on this tour, especially during the morning and evening tours! The valley is also home to many local dog mushers, snowshoers, cross country skiers, fat bikers, and other outdoor enthusiasts alike.

The Local Tour is a 2-hour guided snowmobile tour through the beautiful Goldstream Valley. This tour is our most popular tour choice. On the Local Tour you will navigate your own snowmobile through spruce forests, cruise over frozen lakes, ponds, creeks, and tundra, and feel the thrill of shredding some deep powder!

My wife and I had a fun and thrilling experience touring the Alaskan wilderness on our “snow machine” (snowmobile). This tour was booked through Snow Sleighers. Our guide (Johnny) did a wonderful job of showing us a great time with an exciting mix of the beauty of the landscape along with the exhilarating ride on our snowmobile. We’ve been on snowmobile tours many times before but none more fulfilling as this. We highly recommend this tour which was conveniently accessed just outside of Fairbanks.

The memories of my first snow machining with my loved one. It was a beautiful day and fun time that will live with us forever. A little pricey but that is the cost of this adventure. Awesome friendly staff, and knowledgeable about the area, provided great recommendations and advice on area.
