What To Expect

Charleston City Hall

The tour will begin in front of City Hall which is one of the pillars of the "Four Corners of Law" which also includes the Courthouse, the Post Office and St Michaels Church at the intersection of Meeting Street and Broad Street. From here you will explore many notable sites in the French Quarter and the residential area "South of Broad".

Rainbow Row

Learn the history behind the famous Rainbow Row, one of the most photographed sites in Charleston. Rainbow Row is located in the "South of Broad" neighborhood which we will explore and includes many historically significant homes including the antebellum mansions located along the famous "Battery". ***Please note that stops along the tour may vary.***

Battery & White Point Gardens

Explore the residential area "South of Broad" including the Battery with views over the water to Fort Sumter.

Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, not just about Charleston and it's inhabitants, but also about the different plants (many of which were in bloom) and trees along our route! The facts and dates he uses during his talks are amazing. In addition, his humor, interaction with the street vendors and other tour guides was delightful. I would highly recommend this tour to others!

The walking tour of Charleston was excellent. Coach was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Charleston and all the stories that went along with it. He made recommendations of more sites to see and great restaurants. This us a walk that you should do at the beginning of your trip to familiarize yourself with the city.
