What To Expect

Charleston City Hall

The tour will begin in front of City Hall which is one of the pillars of the "Four Corners of Law" which also includes the Courthouse, the Post Office and St Michaels Church at the intersection of Meeting Street and Broad Street. From here you will explore many notable sites in the French Quarter and the residential area "South of Broad".

Rainbow Row

Learn the history behind the famous Rainbow Row, one of the most photographed sites in Charleston. Rainbow Row is located in the "South of Broad" neighborhood which we will explore and includes many historically significant homes including the antebellum mansions located along the famous "Battery". ***Please note that stops along the tour may vary.***

Battery & White Point Gardens

Explore the residential area "South of Broad" including the Battery with views over the water to Fort Sumter.

Evans was SUCH a great guide!! It’s clear he really loves the history and people (both past and present!) of Charleston; he seemed to be friends with half the people we walked past. We learned SO much and gained a great new appreciation for the city in just two-ish hours. Would highly recommend, especially for those who are new to Charleston or who, like myself, haven’t been back in 10+ years.

Great Walking tour with Laurance who was an excellent guide. He provided us with lots of information in way that kept even my 15 year old entertained! Would recommend this 100%. The day was a comfortable 70ish degrees, not sure how this would be if it was much warmer. Make sure you wear very comfortable shoes, take sunglasses & water.
