What To Expect

Charleston City Hall

The tour will begin in front of City Hall which is one of the pillars of the "Four Corners of Law" which also includes the Courthouse, the Post Office and St Michaels Church at the intersection of Meeting Street and Broad Street. From here you will explore many notable sites in the French Quarter and the residential area "South of Broad".

Rainbow Row

Learn the history behind the famous Rainbow Row, one of the most photographed sites in Charleston. Rainbow Row is located in the "South of Broad" neighborhood which we will explore and includes many historically significant homes including the antebellum mansions located along the famous "Battery". ***Please note that stops along the tour may vary.***

Battery & White Point Gardens

Explore the residential area "South of Broad" including the Battery with views over the water to Fort Sumter.

Wonderful tour! Amy was so well informed about the history, architecture, and people of Charleston. Every bit of info was valuable. We both felt it was the best tour we have ever had!

Our guide was Mark Jones who was one of the best and most knowledgeable guides we have ever had. Mark’s balance of history, humor and story telling made the 2 hours very entertaining. We will never look at Charleston the same way again in a positive way.

We are fans of historical walking tours and this was one of the best ones I have experienced. Our tour guide was Amy and she was FABULOUS. She has a true passion for history and it came through in her energy and the effort she puts into teaching the group (she created hand-made models to explain different aspects of the city). We were running late and the owners went above and beyond to make sure we found our group and were taken care of. Cannot recommend more!
