First - John E., our server, was phenomenal. Didn't miss a thing! Second. The Pilot was so smooth Most of us at our table didn't realize we had left the dock until we were mid-river The Steelhead lunch was done to perfection. Can it get any better than that? Not likely!

the trip was element! weather perfect! our server was John E.---he was good :) took good care of us, asked us and explained everything we didn't understand, he helped us feel welcomed on board. the piano live music was fun, wish we could ask him to play music for us......Jewish style music :))) since we came to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. thank you.

The Spirit Cruise is fine if you like that sort of thing. We took the ā€œSightseer Cruiseā€ which just means we booked the $32 (no-lunch) cruise rather than the $76 version that included food. Pros: 1. Nice airy top deck with comfy seats (though if it was a busy/sunny day there might not be enough room in the covered area to stay out of the sun). 2. Youā€™ll see views from the water that you wouldnā€™t see from land (including some very deluxeā€œfloating housesā€ and other high end homes. Cons: 1. The commentary is kind of mehā€”I didnā€™t hear anything that made me say ā€œWow, fascinatingā€”glad I learned thatā€. 2. The trip starts in the southern part of the city and goes further south (to Milwaukie) so you donā€™t see all of the city and its bridges. 3. The overall impression of the cruise is that itā€™s something that unimaginative/passive tourists might sign on for.
