Overview

Our Marco Island Sightseeing and Shelling Tour departs from the Goodland Boat Park, in Goodland, FL. On our two hour ecotour you will experience one of the most popular adventures we are known for, we will take you for an exciting and scenic cruise through the Ten Thousand Islands, where our Captains and Guides will provide information about the ecology of this unique ecosystem. After cruising through the mangrove islands, we will stop on a private beach in search of the most exotic tropical sea shells that the Gulf coast is known for. This is a very informational adventure that will keep small children and adults engaged the whole time.

Please note: Everyone in your party must sign the electronic waiver located on your voucher before arriving to your Boat Tour.

What To Expect

Goodland Boating Park

ARRIVE 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO DEPARTURE. We depart from the Goodland Boat Park located at 740 Palm Point Dr, Goodland, FL 34140. This location includes a 5.22 acre park, restrooms, concessions for sale from sunscreen to food and allows easy access to the the Ten Thousand Islands and Gulf of Mexico.

We booked Bimini charters and took the private tour for our party of six. We went out with Capt Dan on a 27 ft carolina skiff. Plenty of room for everyone, cushioned seating and canopy for shade. Bottled water provided, cooler on board if you needed it. Capt Dan was so knowledgeable about the history of the island and the wildlife. We saw several dolphins and got great photos as the Capt got them to ride alongside the boat. Great shelling of course, it’s Marco island. A great daytime excursion for our group ranging in age from 25-85, everyone had a great time.

Marco is the best! He was so informative and intelligent. We even saw dolphins that swam along the boat with us. Such an incredible experience!

Another wonderful shelling tour with Captain Marco! We left Goodland boat park before sunrise and saw the sun breaking over the horizon as we made our way to the islands for shelling. It was so beautiful. Taking a tour with Captain Marco is like taking a science/nature field trip. He educated us on how Hurricane Ian has changed the islands and the surrounding areas. He took us to a few different shelling locations to hunt for the elusive junonia. He showed us where the Cape Romano dome homes once stood and suggested we shell right at the tip of Cape Romano, a spot we had never shelled at before. No more than 5 minutes off the boat we found our junonia! He tells us we are the lucky shelling family but we think he is the one that brings us luck! Earlier in our trip we found a nice size horse conch as well. Thanks Captain Marco for another successful shelling adventure! We’ll see you next year!🐚
