Overview

The Bender family continues a 50 year tradition of traveling in open air style safari vehicles north of Corolla along the ocean and sand dunes on a 2 hour, small group, excursion sharing history and ecology along the way. We stop for several photo opportunities and points of interests along the way, as well including private access to the Wild Horse Conservation Area. This tour also included a professional and knowledgeable horse guide to educate you on what you are seeing. Choose from one of 3 departure times when you book.

For now, we will allow maximum capacity ONLY for one family or group per household if staying together in the same rental house. Otherwise, the maximum will be TWELVE (12) people.

If you have more than 12 people please call us directly for accommodations.

We will NOT be able to allow any children UNDER 40 POUNDS on the tour.

It great to see unspoiled terrain and the fact that the horses were close enough to see and weren't bothered by the vehicles or people.

This was the best tour I have ever had with my wife and 4-year-old daughter. The staff make sure from the beginning to go out of their way to make the tour great. Everything from telling people where to sit if they have back problems to stopping in areas where there were baby horses and even allowing us to get out and see some on foot on their own private land that they have set aside for the horses. Staff remembered my daughter's name throughout and even showed us where a very special person has a vacation home! I was super impressed with the driving skills in the sand too. I will be back every time we visit the area!

Loved everything about this -- bouncing (securely!) around in the back of the truck on surprising comfortable seats, wind blowing in our hair, driving along the beach, seeing lots of the wild horses, including a two week old foal and learning all about the area from our very knowledgeable driver/guide.
