2-hour Outer Banks Wild Horse Tour by 4WD

Overview

The Bender family continues a 50 year tradition of traveling in open air style safari vehicles north of Corolla along the ocean and sand dunes on a 2 hour, small group, excursion sharing history and ecology along the way. We stop for several photo opportunities and points of interests along the way, as well including private access to the Wild Horse Conservation Area. This tour also included a professional and knowledgeable horse guide to educate you on what you are seeing. Choose from one of 3 departure times when you book.

For now, we will allow maximum capacity ONLY for one family or group per household if staying together in the same rental house. Otherwise, the maximum will be TWELVE (12) people.

If you have more than 12 people please call us directly for accommodations.

We will NOT be able to allow any children UNDER 40 POUNDS on the tour.

We did the 2 hour private tour with a group of 9 folks and it was a great time! Brad our tour guide was awesome and very entertaining while being informative about the history and experience and set and we got above and beyond our expectations of the tour! (Minus the “Hollywood” galloping of all 200 wild horses 😉) Overall great time as we got to see a harem of the horses right away and then saw couple others including the recent 7 week old baby horse! Great weather and a fun ride up the coast. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend it! Thanks Corolla Outback Adventures!

Google Maps underestimated the time it would take to get there and I was 15 minutes late. The tour guide was kind enough to wait for me. The tour was fun and educational. The horses were beautiful.

Awesome guide and the horses were beautiful. We had a great day and learned a lot. The tour lasted two hours and we saw a new volt only a few weeks old
