Overview

The Bender family continues a 50 year tradition of traveling in open air style safari vehicles north of Corolla along the ocean and sand dunes on a 2 hour, small group, excursion sharing history and ecology along the way. We stop for several photo opportunities and points of interests along the way, as well including private access to the Wild Horse Conservation Area. This tour also included a professional and knowledgeable horse guide to educate you on what you are seeing. Choose from one of 3 departure times when you book.

For now, we will allow maximum capacity ONLY for one family or group per household if staying together in the same rental house. Otherwise, the maximum will be TWELVE (12) people.

If you have more than 12 people please call us directly for accommodations.

We will NOT be able to allow any children UNDER 40 POUNDS on the tour.

My family and I went on the 2 hr. Corolla Outback Adventures. Our tour guide was Carla. Let me just say she was so amazing telling us all about the horses. She identified them when we saw a group. She made it sooo interesting and fun. It was something I had on my bucket list to do when visiting my daughter and family. She made us laugh and was so thoughtful- on the way back she stopped on the beach and found different shaped items on the beach that were made from lighting hitting the sand. Carla made sure each of us received one. You can tell she loves what she does and has a heart full of love for the horses. If you can request her as a guide you will not be disappointed. What an AMAZING experience, second only to meeting my new great-granddaughter.. Oh and we saw 39 horses and one fawn. Would go this agsin in a heartbeat.

We so enjoyed our Wild Horse tour and our guide Smiley Riley was simply outstanding! We were so lucky and saw about 40 horses, even some on the beach. That was the icing on the cake & it was truly magical! Riley went above and beyond to make our experience all it could be. Thanks so much!!
