We are the only company in Chattanooga that consistently provides guided paddleboard tours to Nickajack Bat Cave. We utilize stable inflatable paddleboards making this tour ideal for beginner paddlers with no prior experience to intermediate paddlers seeking a unique paddling adventure and the opportunity to observe obscure wildlife up close. During the tour, our experienced guides offer paddling instruction and interesting facts about the cave and the endangered gray bats that call it home. This guided and fully-equipped paddleboard adventure gives you a front-row seat to one of mother nature’s most spectacular and mystical occurrences. This is an absolutely fun experience!! Sunshine is a joy to be with and has a way with people, no doubt. At the outset She made everyone feel comfortable no matter their paddle-board experience level, and by the end Sunshine feels like a supportive friend, cheering you on in "being you" on a paddle-board. My adult daughter and I went and by the end we were in the market for paddle-boards :) Oh, and the water, and the bats - FANTASTIC! Great outing with a great guide!!

Seeing the bats coming out of the cave and getting information about bats from our guide, Sunshine. If you are celebrating a birthday or anniversary, etc., go on this adventure. You will remember it forever. It was even better than I imagined it would be. So, if you are turning 16, 21, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 or higher, you owe it to yourself to treat yourself to this adventure. I will remember my 60th birthday for years because I treated myself and went to the bat cave!!!!!

What an awesome adventure! I was nervous about the activity once I found out it involved paddle boards instead of kayaks, but all that worry was for nothing. Sunshine’s paddle boards are large, comfortable, and extremely stable. I chose to sit the whole time but most in our group decided to stand and paddle for some of the time. Our guide was Renaud and he was awesome! He showed us how to use the boards, helped us get into the water, and was very attentive the whole time. We had plenty of time to explore and float before sunset. It is incredibly peaceful floating on the river and it was shockingly easy to paddle; really you just glide across the water with minimal effort. My girls chose to swim before the bats came out and had a blast. When it was time for the bats, Renaud showed us where to position ourselves for the best view. It was amazing! We had an amazing 3-day weekend in Chattanooga absolutely packed with every possible tourist attraction and my entire family agrees that this excursion was the best thing we did. When we are back in Chattanooga we will 100% do it again. Thank you Sunshine and Renaud!
