2- Hour Pottery Workshop and Studio Tour in Ojai

Overview
Ojai has a 100-year history of ceramics. Our studio, located a mile from the city center, is surrounded by nature, in the midst of a fruit orchard.

We are a working studio for many of the great artists in the Ojai Valley. Visitors may watch potters work, and may "try their hand" at a range of techniques. After making their pottery, they may may pay a small fee for our staff to trim, glaze and high-fire the work. This "finishing" work takes about 3 weeks. Visitors may also come back to glaze their OWN work. There is no charge for this. AND we will even ship your pieces anywhere in the country...

Loved everything. The instructors were so helpful and knowledgeable. They were so patient and helpful to our kids and guided us to make our own fun creations.

We had a great time at Firestick! Really talented staff and awesome to see the advanced work that they have on display and for sale as inspiration before the class. They were very hands on and helpful. Took the class with my six-year old who had a great time and loved learning about the pottery wheel. We used the option for staff to finish the pots and glaze them, and then they were shipped to us. They turned out even better than I expected, and it was like Christmas for my six-year old opening up the package when it arrived. Highly recommend. Thanks!

First time experience throwing pottery. We were given five balls of clay and we tried to make a bowl each time but even with the help of our three instructors turns out as a first time potter making a bowl is more difficult than it looks.. Hilarity followed as clay spun out of control, but did end up with 2 cups.
