The beautiful scenery along the way and just enjoying the beautiful outdoors. My wife and I are in our70s and we're taking 4 of our grandchildren ages8, 11x2, and14. They really loved it. Our guide was a good rafter and was good with the kids. The equipment they have for you to use is quality and well maintained. The kids even jumped in and swam alongside the raft during a calm stretch of the river. It was very cold however. I would highly recommend this adventure.

My favorite part of my experience was being able to listen to the guider tell is story. I had so much fun and it went well especially for the first time. I definitely recommend it. For future travelers, I would come sometime in June. The current is faster and could be more fun.

Arrive early and leave everything you’re not bringing on the water in your car to minimize check-in time. You can leave your car keys with the receptionist while you raft but there aren’t storage bins/lockers available for anything other than your keys. All of the staff we encountered were funny, friendly, and helpful. They even have a few fur babies helping—Eddy, the chocolate lab, stole everyone’s heart on the bus ride back after rafting. Wild West’s atmosphere definitely sets the “chill” vibe and guests can’t help but let go of stress and have a good time while rafting with this company. Furthermore, all staff are visibly hustling to get everyone on the river to maximize guest time on the water, which we found encouraging to see. Our guide, Hayden, was extremely laid back and patiently fielded lots of questions from our group on the rapids, river, town and recommendations. A few people in our boat hoped for larger rapids, so you may want to inquire about this when booking, but our family of 3 really enjoyed the experience and plan to continue going for larger class rapids as our skill levels progress. Overall, I highly recommend this place for a fun family outing on the water. Also recommended is the photo purchase option and huckleberry ice cream after the rafting trip—both items worth running back to your car for your wallet once you return! :)
