We booked a 2 hour float trip with Wild West in early July 2021. We choose the 9:30 time slot because I figured it really wouldn't matter if we waited until later in the day because the water would be cold no matter what.
Bailey was our guide and she was very informative instructing us how to paddle, how to remain calm if we fell out the raft, how they would get us back in, etc. She never made anyone feel uncomfortable or dumb at not knowing how to row the boat. She was very encouraging and I was so glad we had her as our guide.
The Yellowstone was running pretty low when we went and therefore there were not as many areas of white water was expected. We did still manage to get soaking wet. Not to worry, they do offer water resistant jackets you can wear if you'd like.
There's a package option you can purchase set of photos of your float, which we did.
Don't hesitate to book with Wild West Rafting. They are a class act operation!
