We booked the Classic Half Day Rafting Experience for our family (parents + girls, ages 6, 9 & 11). We have collectively zero experience rafting, but had a good friend recommend it. What a wonderful time! Our guide, Martin, was so friendly, engaging both us and each of the girls. He was expert at guiding us through the waves, as well as talking with us about the scenery and general area. The water is cold, and we were fortunate to have the sun peak out during our trip! They provide wet suits and water shoes, in addition to splash jackets and life vests. We brought a few towels to share, but we did not get too wet outside of our feet. We left all glasses, phones, and belongings in our car, leaving only the car key with the desk. A hat (fit snug) would have been nice. We pre-purchased the Rafting Photo Package, which was well worth the in-action shots we wouldn’t have been able to get. We ended up eating dinner via the food truck across the street. It was delicious!

Simultaneously one of the most professional and fun rafting outfitters we have ever had the pleasure to float with! My family and I have rafted several North American rivers, Central American rivers, and even a few in Southeast Asia. If we had only one more day in the water it would undoubtedly be spent with the crew at Wild West!!

Couldn’t have been happier with the experience! My family and I (we have an 9 and 11 yr old) went rafting in early June at pretty high water so I was a little nervous. But once we began the float, our guide Emily made me feel totally at ease. We had a blast. My 9 yr old gave it a ten out of ten, despite the cold water (wet suits and water shoes were provided). I would say this trip is for beginner-intermediate rafters. We had considered the Scenic Float tour but in the end decided on the 2 hour Raft trip and I’m glad we did. Loved the pics as well (available for $60). Would def recommend.
