Our favorite part was seeing the glaciers up close was amazing to look at. It was unbelievable to see the large chunks of ice in the water as well as the natural beauty Also, we saw plenty of seals and sea lions while traveling to see the beautiful Glaciers. The crew was extremely nice and accommodating to my needs since I have a fractured fibula. You also had an option of hot chili or salmon chowder which was quite delicious and satisfying for the cold weather aboard the vessels. Overall the experience was awesome! If you decide to take this cruise you will not be disappointed.

the day we did our tour was the worst weather day of our 2 week trip but the sights of the glaciers we were exposed to helped overcome the adverse weather.

We chose this attraction because we are Alaskans who wanted to share our wonderful state with our visiting family. We noted that MASKS WERE REQUIRED. This was important because my husband just finished cancer treatment and my daughter is pregnant. Although there were several announcements about wearing masks inside the cabin there was ABSOLUTELY NO ENFORCEMENT. I requested the crew to politely ask nearby tables to mask up. They declined to do so. I do not exaggerate when I say that less than 10% of the patrons ever wore a mask indoors. Luckily, it was a gorgeous day so we spent the whole day out on the deck. When I got back to town, I called headquarters and complained. They were polite but "non-responsive". They said they are a private company and masks are a "grey area". That "gray area" becomes black and white" when you state your requirement of mandatory masking indoors. As much as I want to promote and patronize Alaska businesses and the hard -hit tourism sector, Philips's decision not to enforce its stated policy is unacceptable.
