  • Tours are arranged on a demand basis and require a minimum of 5 passengers to guarantee departure
  • Important: Please note if you need a sleeping bag and any dietary requirements in the 'Special Requirements' field when booking
  • Camping is easy, but cooperation is important. Don't worry if you've never camped before; many people haven't. You will be supplied with all the camping equipment necessary for a trip of this nature, using quality tents, camping and cooking equipment. Everybody is expected to participate in setting up and breaking down the camp, and the professional guides are available to attend to your needs to ensure a positive camping experience. We camp at the best campsites, with hot showers and modern facilities. Swimming is available nearby. During booking, please note if you will need a sleeping bag
  • We use 4-person tents but only have two people in each. In the case of odd numbers in your party, there is a chance you will be paired with another person of the same gender from a different party.
  • You will be provided with the food, but not the chefs. You guys are the cooks, waiters, dishwashers and, of course, the guests. On leaving the city, we stop at a supermarket and buy everything we need. The fare is a mixture of chicken, beef and vegetarian, all-you-can-eat and very tasty. Most people eat better with us than they have done previously on their travels. Please inform us of any dietary requirements/concerns at the time of booking.
  • Tour operator uses comfortable 15-passenger vans with dual air-conditioning and stereo sound. Our vans are fueled by biodiesel, a vegetable oil-based diesel fuel, to promote green business. All of the vans have large roof racks for your luggage and the camping equipment.
  • On your journeys, you will need sneakers or hiking boots, shorts, T-shirts, swimwear, sun protection, a water bottle, flashlight and something warmer in case there is a change in weather.
  • June through September in Yosemite is hot and sunny with occasional afternoon showers. May and October days are warm with cooler nights. As with all mountain environments, weather can vary quickly, so a layer of warm clothing is a good idea.

Many guided camping tours from San Francisco include transportation, gear, and park entry fees, so you don’t have to worry about the logistics. This can be a great option if you're new to camping or prefer a more structured trip. You’ll also get the benefit of having knowledgeable guides who can share insights about the park's history, wildlife, and geology.

My daughter and I just took a 3 day tour to Yosemite with guide Noah. This trip was the absolute highlight of our trip, not just because Yosemite is awe inspiring but because without Noah this trip wouldn’t have been the same. He is a pleasure to hang out with which is important spending so much time with a guide but also very knowledgeable and safety conscious. From the minute we left San Francisco he provided us with so much local information on history and Flora and fauna. Noah made all the hikes that we did accessible for all by giving plenty of options to adapt depending on ability. He prepared very good food and made sure we all had plenty to eat and were well catered for. A guide like this is worth his weight in gold, I really hope the company, particularly being a local Cali company takes good care of guides like this by paying them a living wage and giving them medical insurance. The company is a smaller business compared to other tour operators and is also eco certified, so it’s great to support them.

We wanted to do a trip to Yosemite from San Francisco and, without a car, we chose to do a 3-day camping trip with Incredible Adventures. It was made especially enjoyable by our guide, Aiden. The trip itself was well organised – with a day in the high country, and the option of climbing Mt Hoffman, a peak of over 3,000 m. This was followed by a day in the valley (amongst the crowds!). The contrast was great and it was really good to experience both aspects of the park. Aiden catered for the group really well. He helped and encouraged us to climb Mt Hoffman and for the day in the valley gave us great suggestions on what walks to do. The selection of food for the trip was amazing and extensive and he provided us with so much information about the park and the history of California and Yosemite. Highly recommended.
